1 P11 offers its **experienced users** the possibility of a remote data collection. The remote access is intended only for macromolecular crystallography using the 1-axis goniostat and is granted only for **users who have previously collected data on-site**.

3 The remote session is operated from any internet browser through the Linux remote desktop //FastX//. No software pre-installation is needed. Users receive a direct link to the remote desktop to which they connect using their DOOR credentials.

5 If more than one user per group is requesting remote access, all participants are kindly asked to connect/be present via conference call **at the start of the beamtime** for instructions from the local contact.

9 The guidelines for applying for Remote Access follow the guidelines of a regular beamtime:

11 Valid DOOR proposal
12 Valid DOOR safety trainings ("Basic instructions" and "Petra III")

30 If the above prerequisites are met, Remote Access can be activated when registering the users in DOOR as follows:
