Alignment Laser Units in the Experimental Hall
4 alignment laser units are located in the experimental hall. They are sketched in the overview (see figure below for details). Please note that the units at BL3 and BL1 are equipped with additional features. BL3 has integrated a powermeter whereas BL1 is provided with two filters.
"VLS_LAS": Placed shortly before paddle 'F4', in front of the VLS spectrometer. This laser supplies the complete BL branch (BL1, BL2 & BL3).
"LAS_BL3": Placed between the mirror-chambers 'BL3-M0' and 'BL3-M1'. This laser supplies only BL3. In addition to the mirror two apertures (9mm & 6mm) are available.
"POWM_BL3": Placed right behind "LAS_BL3". Intensity measurements can only be done at BL3.
"LAS_BL2": Placed between the mirror-chambers 'BL1-M0' and 'BL2-M0'. This laser supplies only BL2.
"LAS_BL1": Placed between the mirror-chambers 'BL1-M0' and 'BL1-M1'. This laser supplies only BL1. In addition to the mirror two filters are available (see figure below for details).
