The beamline cameras and the camera triggers on the User patch panels are triggered by different  MTCA based triggers that are distributed using several Trigger boxes ( with 1x 5V input and 10x5V outputs)

(there is a 12 V input option which one can set with jumpers. contact Marc Temme - he organized the design and building by DESY electronic workshop)

  • The trigger for the tunnel is based on a trigger from a DIAG crate  FLASH.DIAG/TIMER/F2DIAG13/FRONT.TRG2  . this trigger is connected to a Beckhoff IO box ( flash2tpdiagio ,  192.168.144.167 ). from there the trigger signals are transported in the tunnel with the cables with many wires (24 ?) connected to the "Klemmblöcke"

  • the FL20 trigger for the first part of the FLASH hall ( Det3, Det4, FL21, screens at M3, ...) is taken from the GMD crate FLASH.FEL/TIMER/XGMD2/FRONT.TRG4. this is also connected to a Beckhoff IO box ( flash2hpdiagio ,   192.168.144.168 ). from there the trigger signals are transported in the tunnel with the cables with many wires (24 ?) connected to the "Klemmblöcke"
  • The camera trigger for FL24 and FL23 is taken from the exp1 crate in Rack 41  FLASH.FEL/TIMER/FL2EXP1.1/RTM.TRG9  . The trigger is brought to the FL24 patch panel and to an amplifier box. from there we feed the cameras and more amplifier boxes. see image below
  • The camera trigger for FL26 is taken from the exp1 crate in Rack 41  FLASH.FEL/TIMER/FL2EXP1/RTM.TRG5   . The trigger is brought to the FL26 patch panel and to an amplifier box feeding mainly the FL26 patch panel and a second one next to it which triggers the beamline cameras at the REMI
