4. Access to the beamline computers

Version 8.1 by hakanj on 2020-12-17 08:33

There is no need to log-in or log-out of the computers, each assigned user group has the corresponding beamtime ID opened prior to their experiment by their local contact. The data will accumulate to beamline filesystem at /gpfs/current, as displayed in the CrystalControl GUI. Please leave the computers and displays on at the end of your shift.

Manual data processing during an on-site shift is to be done only on haspp11eval01. Please follow the instructions in the hutch.

The beamline computers are not accessible from outside nor during the remote session, access to the remote data collection is only via remote session in Door, as described at

 https://photon-science.desy.de/facilities/petra_iii/beamlines/p11_bio_imaging_and_diffraction/user_information/remote_access/BX90_01_eng.html

During remote operation, manual data processing can take place at the core filesystem via Maxwell cluster with a scientific account. Please follow the instructions at

 https://photon-science.desy.de/facilities/petra_iii/beamlines/p11_bio_imaging_and_diffraction/user_information/data_access_processing_and_transfer/BX90_01_eng.html

At the end of remote session, there is no need to log-off from the remote, the access will be revoked by the staff and user can just close the browser window. Please note that logging off from remote by a user will terminate the entire remote session for all users.
