Polarix camera

Polarix camera:  OTR9FL2XTDS  on flash2cpudiag12

The camera has 2360 x 1776 pixel and 12 Bit - thus a data rate of 80 MB / s which is about 1 GB every 20 seconds !!!!   THUS we need binning

The camera can be controlled by "vuvfuser"  not by our  personal accounts and beamline users ...

getting to the camera :image2022-11-23_17-2-58.png

saving the data:

one has to include the subsystem "FLASH3.SCREEN.STATIONS" (why ever this strange name was chosen by the machine guys ... )

image2022-11-23_17-20-16.png

AND one has to make sure that "sending the image" is clicked:

(well and that the sender is "on". but this should be done by the DAQ when it is started up ...)

image2022-11-23_17-4-34.png

check with the DAQ monitor that the images are indeed updating in the DAQ and that they are saved

camera trouble shooting:

camera does not show images:

goto camera server -> locations "L" make sure the camera is online

image2022-11-23_16-56-41.png

camera images are not saved:

the camera server on flash2cpudiag12  has to be restarted ( and all not needed cameras have to be switched off)

since we can not restart the server one has to talk to the control room that the shift crew does this for us ...
