FLASH2 mirror protection system
In order to make sure that the mirrors are not damaged by short wavelength radiation a protection system takes care. The system is realized in combination of a server and jddd warning panels.
There are 2 mirror protection servers ( one for the 2 mirrors in the tunnel and one for the experimental hall)
The server checks that for the set wavelength the coating of the mirrors is appropriate. IF NOT the tunnel protection server will close PS1 and the hall protection server will close PS2. The closing is combined with a warning indicating the problem.
If everything is set properly and the possible wavelength is < 5.5 nm (checked by electron energy) this will be indicated in the tunnel view
If the protection server is not active this will be indicated when PS1 is closed
and even more if it is open
If the protection server, wavelength server or mirror moving server is unavailable or has some errors the message will be displayed. IN the right lower corner it also shows the reason. clicking on the warning one gets to the protection overview:
Expert stuff:
FLASH.UTIL/MIRROR.PROTECTION/FL2.HALL/ACTION indicates actions the server will do, 0=ok, >0 will be close
0 = ok
1 = closing absorbler
2 = absorber already closed
3 = absorber control disabled
If parameters like TTF2.FEEDBACK/FL2.WAVELENGTHCONTROL/FLASH2/WAVELENGTH.USED are not readable → generate warning
